Trying to buy as house in a new region is a much trickier process than just moving a few miles down the road.
The difficulty is getting to know the area and one thing I have learnt is that the grass always seems greener to people on the other side. Try asking anyone what they think of their town and unless
they are madly in love with it most will bring out the negative aspects first.
The next few posts will be my experience on househunting in Manchester, UK. I was born and brought up in North Wales. My nearest city was Chester across the border in England. I used to go a couple of times a year to Liverpool or Manchester and although they are only 45 and 55 minutes away respectively, I never got to know them well.
